YC Modi becomes NIA Director General by Supreme Court

 

 

Supreme Court of India appoints YC Modi new Director General of NIA (National Investigation Agency), YC Modi replacing Sharad Kumar

Supreme Court appoints Senior IPS officer YC Modi as the new chief of National Investigation Agency from immediate effect. ACC approved YC Modi appointment as Officer on Special Duty from immediate effect to take over the charge from Sharad Kumar smoothly at NIA.

 YC Modi is known for his best services in CBI and his role in the famous trial against Narendra Modi in Godhra riots case.

Y C Modi is Senior IPS office from 1984 batch of Assam-Meghalaya cadre. He served as special director of CBI just before his appoint in NIA.

YC Modi tenure will end on May 31, 2021 at NIA as Director General.
