The World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) -2018, is the three-day event (15th Feb to 17th Feb) which is being held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
The WSDS-2018 event was organised by The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI).
The WSDS-2018 event hosted the participation of over 2000 delegates, global leaders, thinkers, international speakers and stakeholders from over 40 countries, meeting together in the fields of sustainable development, energy and environment sectors.
The World Sustainable Development Summit-2018, theme for this year is ‘Partnerships for a Resilient Planet’
The WSDS-2018 event is aimed to design action frameworks in order to resolve some of the most occurred and immediate urgent faced by developing economies in the backdrop of climate change.
The WSDS-2018 event also address several issues, comprising combating land degradation, effective waste management mechanisms to make cities free of landfills free, combat air pollution effectively, measures to increase resource and energy efficiency, facilitate a transition to clean energy and create financial mechanisms to enable effective climate change mitigation etc.
