World Sleep Day Observed On 16th March 2018-Details, Date, Slogan, History, Purpose

The World Sleep Day is marked annually every year across the world on Friday before the March Equinox to spread and enhance the awareness about proper sleep.

The World Sleep Day 2018 this year is celebrated on 16th March 2018.

The Slogan or Theme for World Sleep Day 2018 is 'Join the Sleep World, Preserve Your Rhythms to Enjoy Life'.

The World Sleep Day is celebrated with an aim to spread the benefits of good and healthy sleep and to mark world’s attention related to the exertion of sleep problems and their medicine, education and social aspects and also to promote the prevention and management of sleep disorders like Insomnia.

The World Sleep Day was first observed on 14 March 2008, officially by the World Association of Sleep Medicine (WASM) which is a committee to World Sleep Day.

The World Sleep Day demonstrates events such as Discussions, Presentations of medical education materials and Exhibitions take place around the world online or at social media.
