Mauritius in its capital city Port Lois will host the 11th edition of the World Hindi Conference.
The World Hindi Conference-2018 is scheduled to be conducted in August 18-20, 2018.
The World Hindi Conference-2018 venue is Swami Vivekanand International Convention Centre, Pailles Mauritius.
The World Hindi Conference-2018 will be organised by the Government of India’s Ministry of External Affairs in association with Government of Mauritius.
The World Hindi Conference-2018, the theme of this year is ‘Vaishvik Hindi Aur Bharatiya Sanskriti’.
The World Hindi Conference-2018 aims to facilitate a common platform to several Hindi scholars, writers and laureates from different parts of the world to contribute the language.
The World Hindi Conference was first held in Nagpur from 10th January to 12th January 1975 and was inaugurated by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Since then it is being organized in different parts of the world in every three years.
The First World Hindi Conference witnessed Prime Minister of Mauritius Seewoosagur Ramgoolam as a Chief Guest and it was attended by 122 delegates from 30 countries. Since then every year 10th January is being observed as World Hindi Day.
The last 10 edition of World Hindi Conference was held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh (India) in 2015 with the theme of Hindi Jagat-Vistar and Sambhavnaye.
