WEF report hints Male dominating work place in Future of Work in India Report

 

 

World Economic Forum (WEF) Report prepared by Observer Research Foundation (ORF) suggests Future of Work In India still be male dominating

The recent "Future of Work in India" report was released by the World Economic Forum. It has been said in this report that the companies which are developing rapidly, prefer to keep men as an employee.

This report was prepared by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) on behalf of the World Economic Forum. It has been said in the report that India has enough new opportunities and possibilities.

It has been said in the report that there is no female employee in one-third of the companies. Employment creation in India is very fast but only 26 per cent of the women in the country is entering the workplace, it is far below the global level. 

According to the report, one out of every three companies gives priority to hiring men than women, while one in ten gives priority to hiring women.

In the retail sector, 45% of the companies do not have any female employees, while 36% of the companies in Transport and Logistics are not employed. According to the Future of Work in India report, 75 percent of the men in the freelance sector are also employed.

In this area it has been found that freelance men are given 30 percent more salary than women. This survey was also found that only one-fourth of the companies provide maternity leave facility to women employees.
