World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report 2018 suggests 50% automation in industries by 2025

The World Economic Forum (WEF) recently released the 'The Future of Jobs 2018' report. This report says that by the year 2025, more than 50% of the jobs will be occupied by automated machines.

It has been speculated that due to the increased use of automated robots, the way humans work and human labour will also change forever. The World Economic Forum (WEF) has guessed the speed of mechanization of works and analyzing the changes in it.

In the 'The Future of Jobs 2018' report, more than 300 global companies have been added to the wide range of industry sectors.

This survey included more than 1.5 million employees and 20 developed and emerging economies which hold about 70% of the global GDP.

At present 71% of the total work is done by human labour.

By the year 2022, the share will be reduced to 58%, while by 2025 the share will be reduced to 48%.

It has also been claimed in the report that during the process of automation of the robot revolution, 50 million new jobs will be created in the next five years.

Based on the survey of companies in 20 countries and 1.5 million employees, the World Economic Forum estimates that these technologies will create around 13.3 million jobs worldwide.

Jobs expected to end with the coming of automation (robotic revolution) include data entry clerks, accounting clerks and white collar jobs such as parole clerks.
