On 22 April, Earth Day is celebrated every year with a resolve to create awareness about environmental protection and save the earth.
In the United Nations, Earth Day is celebrated every year on March Aquinox, the time of the year when day and night are equal. The tradition was founded by peace activist John McCannel. Earth Day was celebrated on a large scale for the first time on 22 April 1970 to make people globally aware of the environment.
Earth Day was observed on March 21 as a symbol of the spring of the northern hemisphere and the autumn of the southern hemisphere. Earth Day, observed on March 21, has the support of the United Nations but has received only scientific and environmental importance, while Earth Day, observed on April 22, has political and social significance for the entire world.
The theme of Earth Day 2021 is to restore the Earth to a good state again. For this, attention has to be paid to natural sources and emerging technologies which will be helpful in restoring the ecological system of the world.
