Team India "Men in Blue" may wear a different jersey of Orange color for few matches.
India will wear 'Orange jersey' against England and Afghanistan, as both these teams will be the home teams for their matches against India.
This is due to ICC’s new rule, as per which all participating teams will be required to provide for two different colored kits for televised ICC events, except for the host country which will have a preference in the choice of color. The host country may if it chooses to, provide only one colored kit to be worn in all matches throughout the event.
England, India, and Afghanistan all have blue jerseys. As England is the hosts, they will be able to play in their new kit which looks a lot like the 1992 jersey.
Virat Kohli's men are expected to wear orange with darker blue in the front for their away matches.
Team India will be sporting the new jersey for its away matches against Afghanistan on June 22 and hosts England on 30 June 2019. Apart from these games, Team India will continue to wear their traditional blue jersey.
Also among other nations, 3 teams including Pakistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh have green as their jersey color. Hence, these teams will have to choose an alternate colored jersey for a few of their matches.
