World Health Organization (WHO), who is concerned about the increase in the number of illnesses and deaths due to the rising pollution globally, has convened a meeting.

In this meeting, the health and environment minister, global leaders, academic and scientific experts from all over the world including India have been called. In this first meeting of its kind, the pollution-fighting strategy will be decided. Increasing air pollution in India during the meeting in Geneva from October 30 to November 1 can be the reason for the global stage.

In this three-day high-level meeting, there is a possibility of setting targets for countries where pollution victims and mortality rate are high. This meeting is happening at the time when India's level of pollution in North India, including Delhi, is constantly increasing. Sources say that due to things like Parali being lit by farmers in Haryana and Punjab, the level of pollution is expected to increase further. In such a way, India can be a victim of criticism during this important meeting.

According to the latest estimates of UN agency, the Top 14 of the world's 20 most polluted cities belong to India. Kanpur, Faridabad and Varanasi are in Top Three while this list includes Delhi, Patna, Agra, Muzaffarpur, Srinagar, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Patiala and Jodhpur. Ali Mullah al-Salem of Kuwait and some cities of China and Mongolia are also included in this list.
