Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu Released a Commemorative Coin of Rs. 100 and Rs. 10 On the Occasion Of The birth centenary commemoration of Dr. M S Subbulakshmi on 19 September 2017 at an exhibition Kurai Onrum Illai.
Current Vice President of India Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu (M Venkaiah Naidu) release a commemorative coin on the occasion of the birth centenary commemoration of Bharat Ratna Dr. M S Subbulakshmi on 19 September 2017.
Vice Precedent M Venkaiah Naidu released special commemorative coin of Rs. 100 and Rs. 10 denomination at an exhibition held entitled “Kurai Onrum Illai” to mark Subbulakshmi’s legacy.
The exhibition looks at the life of MS Subbulakshmi for her early years to her songs, contribution to the freedom movement, magnanimous charity work, her role in films and the awards she was decorated with.
MS Subbulakshmi was the first musician to be awarded Bharat Ratna, the country highest civilian honor, and first Indian musician to have performed at the United Nations General Assembly on the 50th-anniversary celebration of the United Nation.
