Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was conferred the 'Chief Minister of the Year' award for her remarkable & distinguished work in e-governance.
The 'Chief Minister of the Year' award was given at the 52nd Skoch Summit held in New Delhi.
Efforts of the CM Vasundhara Raje and state government were appreciated in implementing the prime minister's Digital India campaign for benefitting the common man.
Vasundhara Raje is the present and the 13th Chief Minister of Rajasthan. She held CM position on 8th December 2013.
Vasundhara Raje Scindia commonly called as Vasundhara Raje was born on 8th March 1953 (65 years) in Mumbai to Vijayaraje Scindia - Shinde and Jivajirao Scindia - Shinde, Maharaja of Gwalior, members of the prominent Scindia royal Maratha family.
Vasundhara Raje completed her schooling from Presentation Convent, Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, and later graduated with Economics and Political Science degrees (Hons.) from Sophia College, affiliated to Mumbai University, Mumbai.
Vasundhara Raje joined the Indian political system in 1984. Initially, she was made a Member of the National Executive of the newly formed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Vasundhara Raje was also elected as a member of the 8th Rajasthan Assembly from Dholpur. The same year, she was appointed as the Vice President of the Yuva Morcha, Rajasthan BJP.
