UP Budget 2018-19 allocation for Roads and Transportation

 

 

Uttar Pradesh Budget 2018-19 allocation for Roads & Transportation sector details, features

UP Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal presented the Budget: 2018-19, with the total allocation of Rs 4,28,384.52 crores, on 16th February 2018 in Legislative Assembly, Lucknow.

The UP Budget: 2018-19 laid major importance on the betterment of Roads and Expressway Projects such as:

For Bundelkhand expressway project (Rs 650 crores), Gorakhpur link expressway (Rs 550 crores) Purvanchal Expressway (Rs 1,000 crores) and for existing Agra-Lucknow expressway (Rs 500 crores)

For the construction and expansion of new roads in UP, an allocation of Rs 11,343 crores and in Bundelkhand Rs 200 crores has been placed.

For the construction of bridges and over bridges an allocation of Rs 1,817 crores has been made.

For rejuvenation and construction of roads in UP, an allocation of Rs 3,324 crores has been made.

For Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), an allocation of Rs 2,873 crores has been allotted.

Under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for modernisation and widening of roads, an allocation of Rs 920 crores has been placed.

For NCR Metro Transportation Project (Kanpur, Meerut, Agra) gets an allocation of Rs 500 crores.

For Regional Rapid Transport Rs 250 crores have been allotted.
