It is the 45 million year oldest planet forming disk which is a ring of gas and dust that orbits around a young star.
This red dwarf star is the member of the Carina stellar association and is the oldest red dwarf system.
The circumstellar disks around the red dwarfs are rare but this star appears to have sustained its disk for a long time.
The star and its disk may host for extrasolar planets which are similar to the ones around the unusual red star.
This discovery was done by a Disk Detective project which was organised to find out new circumstellar disks.
This red dwarf is the same spectral type which is Sun’s Nearest Star Proxima Centauri which was shown to host Proxima B.
