A E Joseph was on Saturday elected President of United Planters Association of Southern India for the year 2018-19.
Similarly, A R Nagappan as elected as vice-president of the association at its 125th Annual general Meeting held at Coonoor in Nilgiris District.
The United Planters Association of Southern India(UPASI) is an apex body of planters of tea, coffee, rubber, cardamom and pepper in the Southern States of India viz. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka in existence since 1893.
3 State Planters Associations and 13 District Planters’ Association are affiliated to UPASI.
The Association’s operations cover economic research, market intelligence, industrial relations, liaison, public relations, scientific research, and publication.
Inauguration of the 125th Annual Conference will be held on 29th September by CHIEF GUEST Shri Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Union Minister for Commerce & Industry.
