Global Day of Parents is celebrated every year on 1st June around the world to honor parents and their commitment to children globally. This year in 2019, it falls on Saturday (1st June 2019).
Global Day of Parents provides the opportunity to appreciate parents and parental figures who plays a pivotal role in the development of strong families.
Global Day of Parents also highlights the role parents play in the development of their children and to recognize that the parents have the primary responsibility for nurturing and taking care of the children.
Global Day of Parents also focusses on the fact that children, irrespective of their caste, creed, religion and financial background, should be raised in an environment of love and happiness, which up to a large extent, depends on their parents.
Global Day of Parents is a wonderful opportunity to thank your parents for everything they have done for you.
Global Day of Parents was first proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 2012 with resolution A/RES/66/292.
