Trade Policy Forum Between India & United States turns up after 4 years in New Delhi

The 10th India and United States Trade Policy Forum is anticipated from 19th October, 2016 to 20th October 2016 at New Delhi.

Under the adept administration of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi & President Obama the trade policy conference has aimed attention on heightened bilateral synergy and momentum on ironing out trade concerns.

The preceding 9th TPF was held in October, 2015 at Washington D.C., USA

The TPF is an inter agency association led by Deputy United States Trade Representative with 5 focus groups namely agriculture, investment, innovation and creativity (intellectual property rights), services and tariff and non tariff barriers.

At this time, bilateral trade is approximately $100billion which in accordance with U.S.-India Business Council could touch $500 billion mark over next one decade.

The meeting is to have Ambassador Michael Froman, US Trade Representative from US side and Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman on the Indian side.
