The Union Ministry of Tourism organized a 20-day long Paryatan Parv festival of the tourism to celebrate in India from 5th October 2017 in partnership with other central ministries, State government, and stakeholders.
The main objective behind the organizing the festival is to draw focus on the benefit of tourism and showcase the cultural diversity of the country and to reinforce the principle of Tourism for All. the festival would be beginning at Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi, it will end on 25 October.

The festival of Paryatan Parv starts at Humayun's Tomb with a guided heritage walk in Delhi, it will end on 25th October 2017.
The festival Paryatan Parv has three major components including Dekho Apna Desh, Tourism for All and Tourism & Governance.
The components aim to encourage Indians to visit their own country by holding tourism events at sites across all states and interactive session and workshop with stakeholders on varied themes.
The movement at the site will include illumination in and around the sites, culture programmes of dance, music, theatre storytelling, sensitization programmes for stakeholders around the site, tourism exhibitions, showcasing culture, cuisine and handicrafts/handlooms and guided heritage walks.
These will all be people’s Events with large-scale public partnership action.
