Ministry of Finance and Telecom rescue planning for telecom sector
The government has planned for making Telecom Industry for this chairman of country largest Telecom operator Vodafone Idea LTD.
Meet the top finance ministry official in this regard seeking a deferral on RS 900crore that has to pay the government in March.
Birla appraised officials about the danger of Vodafone Idea posted a loss of Rs.4974crore for the quarter ended September 2018 missing a Rs900 crore spectrum linked payment.
Both the finance and Telecom minister discuss the health of the Industry and device a rescue plan.
The government is planning to do because it thinks sentiments would be damaged if the largest phone company would not make payment at a time.
It is also said that it is unlikely that the government will offer relief to just one company and an industry while the solution may be considered.
As the company is facing problems although Vodaphone doesn't want to comment on this.
