Supreme Court adjourns hearing on Ayodhya Ram Janmbhoomi land dispute till January 2019 on 29th Oct 2018 Hearing Detail

The Supreme Court has stayed the trial of the Ayodhya dispute till October 29, 2018, till January 2019.

The Supreme Court had to hear the petition challenging Allahabad High Court's decision.

Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice KM Joseph's Bench were considering petitions filed against the Allahabad High Court's decision in 2010.

Earlier, hearing of this case was being done by the division bench of the former Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice S Abdul Nazir.

On September 27, 2018, the then Chief Justice of India Deepak Mishra, the bench of Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice S.

Abdul Nazir ordered the hearing of the case of the disputed land in the new bench.

Ismail Farooqi challenged land acquisition in Ayodhya, on which the apex court had said that reading Namaz is not an essential part of the mosque.

The Muslim community did not agree with this and he wanted the Supreme Court to consider its decision again.

In the Supreme Court, it was argued by Muslim parties that the prayer on the mosque should be decided early on.

The Muslim community also wanted that the 1994 judgment before the main case is heard.

A decision on Ayodhya land dispute will be based on facts.

The Supreme Court reserved the judgment on July 20 on the issue.

Simultaneously, it was instructed to maintain status quo in the Ram Janmabhoomi so that people of Hinduism could worship there.

It is important that the Hindu Mahasabha and Sunni Central Waqf Board had filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the judgment given in 2010 in the Allahabad High Court.

Earlier, the case was hearing ex-Chief Justice Dipak Misra, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Abdul Nazir.
