Kabir Samman is a national Level award conferred by Culture department of Madhya Pradesh. The award established in the year 1986, conferred by Government of Madhya Pradesh.
Kabir Samman award is conferred annually for distinguished work in literature (poetry). The award contains cash prize of Rs. 1.5 Lakhs.
Kabir Samman is one of the biggest award provided by Government of Madhya Pradesh for significant works in different Indian languages including Hindi, Bangla, Kannada, Punjabi, Marathi, and Gujarati etc.
Some notable poets have recently received Sant Kabir Samman Award for the years 2013 to 2016 by President Ramnath Kovind
Rewa Prasad Dwivedi who is a Sanskriti scholar and poet won Kabir Samman award for his work in Sanskrit in 2013.
Rewa Prasad Dwivedi has also won the Sahitya Akademi award for his outstanding work in Sanskrit in 1991.
Pratibha Satpathy who is an eminent poet of Odia literature conferred Kabir Samman award 2014. She was also honored with Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award for her poetry collection Tanmaya Dhuli in 2001.
Attoor Ravi Varma who is one of modern Malayalam poet conferred Kabir Samman award for his work in Malayalam poetry in 2015.
Attoor Ravi Varma has also honored with Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award for her poetry work Attoor Ravi Varmayute Kavitakal.
