Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium, one of the premier cricket stadiums of India was established in 1982 at Motera, Ahmedabad in Gujarat with the seating capacity of 49, 000 people by Architect, Shashi Prabhu in the ownership of Gujarat Cricket Association.
It is a dream project of PM Modi under the leadership of GCA President, Amit Shah to make the Motera stadium, the biggest cricket stadium in the world.
The new stadium, to be built in place of one of the India’s most historic cricket venues, aims to become the outstanding cricket stadium in the world.
The Stadium is to accommodate 1, 10,000 people, the biggest terms of seating capacity and will outshine Melbourne Cricket Ground holding a capacity of 1, 00,024 people.
