SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) first created in the 1960s to handle riot control confrontation with a criminal. It is a designated law enforcement team whose member is recruited. The induction of women will begin the Recruitment of the new batch of personnel in the force.

The Delhi police will induct women into SWAT team first time this team highly trained and well equipped they can spring from deep sleep to action, fully armed, within a minute of an alarm. Some other countries have developed their own paramilitary police units that are also described as or compared to SWAY forces.
