Sir David Cox gets International Award in Statistics for survival

 

 

International Prize in Statistics awarded to Sir David Cox for Survival Analysis Model in Medicine, Science and Engineering

The International prize in statistics is awarded to Sir David Cox for his work in Survival Analysis Model applied in Medicine, Science and Engineering.

Sir David Cox was born on 15th July 1924 in Birmingham in England.

He is known for his Cox Model 1992 which helps the researchers to work on survival data to easily identify the factors of mortality and survival outcomes among patients with dissimilar characteristics.

David was also awarded Copley Medal Award 2010

He was also awarded Copley Medal award in 2010 and was also the president of Bernoulli Society, Royal Statistical Society and International Statistical Institute.

International prize in statistics is awarded by the foundation of statistics and is given to the individual or team who showed major achievement in the field of Statistics.

US $75000 are awarded as a cash prize to the individual.
