A special tourist train running on the entire Ramayana circuit was flagged off by the Safdarjung railway station in Delhi on November 14, 2018, leaving Shri Ramayana Express flagging off.
This train will go to the major places mentioned in the Hindu Mahanagrha Ramayana.
This train will complete 16 journeys in Rameshwaram of Tamil Nadu, and during this time, Lord Rama will stay at all important places connected with Ram's life.
Shri Ramayana Express has left with 800 passengers on its first visit.
Features of Ramayana Express:-
According to IRCTC, tour packages will be arranged for dining, accommodation, sightseeing tours in Dharamsala and IRCTC's tour manager will also visit the entire tour with tourists.
Ramayana Express will have a total capacity of 800 passengers. It costs Rs 15,120 per person ticket.
There will be a separate fee for the Sri Lanka tour on the train.
If travellers want to travel to Sri Lanka, then they can travel from Chennai to Colombo by air travel.
After this, there will be a package of 5 nights and 6 days.
The Sri Lankan package will cost Rs 36,970 per person.
This tour package will include destinations such as Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Colombo and Negombo.
IRCTC has recently conducted AC Tourist Train from Panchwati, Chitrakoot, Shringwarpur, Tulsi Manas Temple, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Ayodhya and Rameswaram from the Ramayana Circuit of Trivandrum from August 28 to September 9, 2018.
