The Satat Scheme is an initiative by the government of India.
It's aim is to set up Compressed Biogas Production plants,and make it available for market use.
The scheme was launched in October 2018 under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas in collaboration with public sectors of oil like
Bharat Petroleum Corporation & Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and the benefits we will receive are reduction of carbon emissions and few others.
-In this scheme ,Biogas will be produced by using more than 62 million metric tones of waste every year.
-Reducing dependence on imported fuel.
-Reduction of carbon emissions and pollutants.
-A Compressed Biogas has the same properties as of commercial natural gas.So, it can also be used as an alternative energy source of automobile fuel.
There are plans to set up about 5,000 CBG plants all across the country by 2025.
By setting up these plants , it is expected that 45,000 people will be employed .
The entreprenuers are playing the main role in the implementation of scheme.
