Sardar Sarovar Dam irrigation and power benefits for Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan
India gets a new dam Sardar Sarovar Dam on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sardar Sarovar Dam is situated in Gujarat and Gujarat to be the biggest beneficiary state of the dam.
Around, 3137 villages of 15 districts of Gujarat getting benefits of water of agriculture from the dam. Total 18.45 Lakh hectares land will get irritated from the water supply from the dam in Gujarat.
Madhya Pradesh to be the biggest beneficiary of getting 57% of electricity from the dam. Maharashtra will get 27% of electricity from the dam while Gujarat will get 16% of to electricity produced at Sardar Sarovar Dam.
On the other hand, Rajshthan will get only water from the dam.
This way all four nearby states Gujrat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan get maximum benefit from Sardar Sarovar Dam built o Narmada River.
