The K.S Valdiya Committee comprising of Archeologists, Sociologists and Hydrologists have confirmed the existence of river Saraswati.
the committee found that the river has two offshoots mainly, Western and Eastern parts, Western part represents the Satluj river which flows through Ghaggar-Patiawali streams, on the other hand, Eastern part represents the miscellanies of obsolete rivers Sarsuti-Markananda rivers.
Saraswati River commenced in Himalayas, flows through India-Pakistan before converging with Arabean Sea through Rann of Kutch and measures of 4,000 km in length.
3000 km of the river is flowing in India and the remaining flows in Pakistan.
The committee has researched for six months and have analysed the pile of sediments, which were brought down by the big rivers.
The committee has also found a paleochannel of Ghaggar, Sursati, Hakra and Nara rivers.
