SAFAR a survey of polluted air of Delhi, health risks in capital

 

 

SAFAR launched a survey of poor air of Delhi causing respiratory problems due to farm fires, pollution

The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting has launched a survey revealing the air quality of Delhi.

On a 24 hours average of PM 2.5 and PM 10 the bad pollutant making problems for respiration were recorded as 120.8 and 248 micrograms per cubic metre as against a safe limits of 60 and 100.

Causing respiratory problems among people

The air quality of Delhi is very poor and many problems like respiration, irritation to eyes and skin and reduction in the sight and headache are taking place.

These problems are occurring due to pollution, low wind and farm fires taking place in neighbouring states (Punjab, Haryana).

The Union Ministry of Earth Sciences has launched SAFAR to increase the awareness among the people relating to air quality and health problems taking place due to bad quality of air.

All proper measures are been looked up for the betterment of quality and health issues.
