Ruskin Bond's anthology "Writing for My Life" has been published. It comprises some of Ruskin Bond's finest stories, articles, poems, and memories. This anthology comes 25 years after the publishing of the first Bond anthology, "The Best of Ruskin Bond." Bond and his editor, Premanka Goswami, hand-picked the stories for this collection. Ruskin Bond is a British-born Indian author. The Room on the Roof is his debut novel.

Ruskin Bond (born May 19, 1934) is an Indian-British author. Audrey Alexander Bond is his father's name. In Shimla, he attended Bishop Cotton School. The Room on the Roof, his first novel, won the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize in 1957. In 1992, he received the Sahitya Akademi Award for his novel in English, Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra. Bond has published a large number of short stories, essays, novels, and children's books. He was given the Padma Shri in 1999 and the Padma Bhushan in 2014. He now lives in Landour, Mussoorie, with his adopted family.
