Rs 100 coin features, dimension, metal (Silver, Copper, Nickel and Zinc) composition
The Reserve bank of India has issued a notification to roll out Rs.100 coins first time in the market with the new feature in the country and also issue new Rs. 5 and Rs. 10 rupees coins.
Features of Rs. 100 coins
- The front side of Rs 100 coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka pillar in the center.
- The legend Satyamev Jayate to be inscribed below the pillar.
- The coins shall be bear On the left periphery of the coin Bharat in Devanagari script and the right periphery with the word India in English.
- The coin shall also bear the Rupee symbol and the denominational value 100 below the Lion Capitol nation symbol.
The Central government of India Decides to coin rupees 100 as per clauses (d) and (e) of Sub section 2 of Section 24 of the coinage act 2011.
The Rs. 100 coin to be released dedicated to legendary singer Dr. MS Subbulkshami and Superstar politician and Tamilnadu ex-CM Dr. MG Ramachandran.
Rs. 100 coin will be 44 millimeters in diameter. The metal composition of Rs.100 coins is given below.
Silver 50%,
Copper 40%,
Nickel 5% and Zinc 5%.
Zinc 5%
