The companies offering rooftop solar projects are Clean Max Solar, Amplus Solar, Cleantech Solar Azure Power, Rays Power Experts and Hero Fund Energies.
From past 1 year India has added 513 MW of rooftop capacity which is the fastest pace this year.
The solar rooftop aims at installing 12.7 GW of capacity by 2021 and targets to cover 100 GW of total solar energy by 2022.
40 GW is expected to come from rooftop solar while 60GW is expected from grid connect solar projects.
From the last four years, the cost of roof solar has been fallen to 12% per annum.
There is greater cost competition between rooftop solar and grid solar projects which helps in its growth.
The main leading states which installed the total capacity is Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
