Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Ravi Shankar Prasad has launched the website portal of Digital India Internship Scheme on 9th May 2018 in New Delhi.
Under the Digital India Internship Scheme, 25 interns will be inducted for a period of three months.
Ravi Shankar Prasad addressing at the launch occasion proclaimed that the interns will be paid a stipend of Rs 10 thousand per month.
Minister R.S Prasad also appealed to the youth to apply to the internship programme saying that Digital India is important in the scheme of things.
R.S Prasad also asked officials to train the interns properly and handhold them in such a way that they get the incentive for the future.
The Digital India Internship Scheme is an opportunity for a student to secure first hand and practical work experience under the guidance of qualified and experienced Supervisor and Mentor.
Students those who are pursuing B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech or Dual degrees and are in their course of study can apply for internships on the portal.
