MG Ramachandran's 100th birth anniversary, celebration in Tamil Nadu
The celebration of 100th birth anniversary of Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MG Ramachandran is going on in the state.
MG Ramachandran was the co-founder of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).
Tamil Nadu is celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of MG Ramachandran popularly known as MGR and the state government has declared a public holiday.
MGR was born on 17th January 1917 in Sri Lanka but after his father’s death MGR moved to Tamil Nadu to take education
MGR made his first debut film in the year 1936 in a supporting role in Saathi Leelavati in a supporting role.
Till 1953, MGR was the member of Congress party but then later on joined AIADMK.
MGR died as his actor friend MR Radha shot him at his residence on 12th January 1967.
