President Ram Nath Kovind is on a three-nation official state visit to African countries of Equatorial Guinea, Swaziland and Zambia from 7th April 2018 to 12th April 2018.
Indian President, visit Zambia will take place after 29 years and It is also the first-ever visit by any head of state of India to Equatorial Guinea and Swaziland.
President Ram Nath Kovind on his second leg of his visit to Africa reached Swaziland and held delegation-level talks with Swaziland King Mswati III on 9th April 2018 in Mbabane. India and Swaziland showed agreement on expanding their partnership to accelerate growth and development.
India and Swaziland signed two agreements on health and visa waiver on 10th April 2018 at Mbabane.The agreement on visa waivers related with granting of the visa waiver for the diplomats and officials holding relevant passports.
The agreement on health is to ensure cooperation in the field of health and medicine.President Ram Nath Kovind was conferred with Order of the Lion, the highest award of Swaziland.
India has also donated the US $1 million to support Swaziland’s National Disaster Management Agency as well as food grains
President Kovind after concluding the visit to Swaziland will visit Zambia, in the third and final leg of his visit.
