ISRO gets Priyadarshini Global Awards 2016
Indian Space Research Organisation was awarded as Priyadarshini Global Awards 2016.
The scientist and Chairman of ISRO AS Kumar get the award for the agency's outstanding contribution in the development of space science and technology.
ISRO was established in the year 1963 and the first satellite it launched was Arya Bhatt.
The main aim of this organisation is to develop space and technology.
Department of Space manages ISRO and DOS itself is managed by the Prime Minister and Space commission.
Katrina Kaif, Juhi Chawla to get respective awards in field of art and social works
Katrina Kaif gets Smita Patil Memorial Award for Best Actor. Juhi Chawla to get award for her social causes as she also has filed a petition for radition emition from mobile towers.
Apart from both the actors a NGO of Delhi was also awarded for the great contribution to help the poor.
