Former Cabinet Secretary Pradeep Kumar Sinha, a 1977 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on 31st August 2019.
PK Sinha succeeds Nripendra Misra, who requested to get relieved as Principal Secretary and was accepted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Nripendra Misra is a 1967-batch retired IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh (UP) cadre.
PK Sinha (age 64 years) has served in various key posts in both the Government of India(GoI) and the Uttar Pradesh State Government.
PK Sinha worked as the Power Secretary of India, and was the Shipping Secretary of India.
PK Sinha retired as 31st Cabinet Secretary on 30th August,2019.
PK Sinha is an economics graduate and earned a postgraduate degree in economics.
