PM Narendra Modi visiting lucknow, attending Ram Lila and to destroy Terrorism today, 11 October 2016
Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Ram Lila at Aishbagh Lucknow to preside over the ceremony and the evil embraced on Ravana is ‘terrorism’.
From past Years, Ram Lila is celebrating Dussehra and depicting the evils in the society.
In 2013, the theme was corruption, in 2014, crime against women was depicted, in 2015, cow slaughter was depicted.
First PM to attend Ram Lila for Ravan Dahan in Dussehra in Lucknow
This is the first time when any Prime Minister is attending the Ravan Dahan in Dussehra.
The Ram Lila was started in the 16th Century by Goswami Tulsidas and till now it has been depicting Ram Lila.
The theme for this year is to wipe out terrorism for goodness of the country.
The President of Ram Lila said that Terrorism is the universal evil so, this year Ravan will be symbolising Terrorism and hoping for its destruction.
The PM will be in Lucknow for just one hour, will be attending Ram Lila and will return to Delhi soon.
