Narendra Modi starts Koldam, Parbati, Rampur hydro projects in HP

 

 

PM Narendra Modi launches three hydro-electric projects assigned by BHEL in Koldam, Parbati and Rampur in Himachal Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated three hydro-electric projects in Koldam, Parbati and Rampurin Himachal Pradesh.

Koldam hydro-electric project has a capacity of 4×200 MW executer by national Thermal power Corporation (NTPC).

Parbati HEP has a capacity of 530 MW executed by National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC).

Rampur HEP has a capacity of 412 MW of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN).

Three projects in Koldam, Parbati and Rampur by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited

These projects will be assigned and supplied by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).

BHEL has been contracted for more than 500 hydro-generating sets with a capacity for more than 29,000 MW of various ratings.

Hydro-power projects is a renewable source of energy as it uses and does not consumes the water for generation of electricity.
