Pressure Groups History, Objectives, Role in Functioning of Government

A pressure group is a structured group whose goal is to protect the government, public policy for the interests of the common man or to protect a particular cause related to the common people. Pressure groups work as a link between the government and the people.

Pressure group to promote a specific issue and take the issue to the top of the political agenda, or get on the ground to have common political and ideological objectives raised during the election campaign. These groups try to bring the government on the platform of accountability.

Pressure groups can work at a local, regional, national or international level, depending on reason and notice. All interest groups have a longing to influence the government's policy for the benefit of themselves or their causes. Generally, these are non-profit and voluntary organizations.
They want to influence political or industrial decision-makers to achieve a targeted objective.

A pressure group is a group or collection of individuals who hold a commonhold on values and beliefs based on ethnicity, religion, political philosophy, or similar goals.
Pressure groups often represent the ideas of those who are dissatisfied with the current situation of society. These are the natural consequences of beneficial communities that exist in all societies.
