President Pranab Mukherjee inaugurates ECGC on Diamond Jubilee in New Delhi on 8 November
President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee inaugurates Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd. (ECGC) on 9th November 2016 in New Delhi.
Minister of State for commerce and industry, Commerce Secretary and other ministers were present at the function.
Speaking on the occasion President stated that Export Credit Agency (ECA) plays an important role in international trade and investment flows.
President stated that ECA provides various services like protection against risk, enabling access to bank office and information and expertise in trade finance
ECA is a platform where exporters and bankers sustain existing markets in addition to exploring new markets.
ECA also provide policy instruments at the disposal of sovereign to ensure adequate and timely support to national exports by providing credit, insurance and guarantees.
