Union Human Resource Development Minister, Prakash Javadekar chaired the 65th Meeting of the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) on 15th January 2018, in New Delhi.
Prakash Javadekar, in the CABE meeting clearly highlighted that “Education is a national agenda which empowers the individual, family, society and the nation”, focusing on the main purpose of Higher Education System in India.
In the CABE meeting, a resolution to adopt Operation Digital Board (ODB) on the lines of Operation Blackboard of 1987 was taken.
Operation Digital Board would be launched with the objective to provide better digital education in all schools nationwide, this will provide new opportunities and modern ways of learning and teaching to the schools.
ODB will be commenced jointly by Centre, State, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Community in five years.
ODB will improve the quality of education, like students will be empowered with the 360-degree information with interesting learning encounters and enhancing teacher’s accountability.
