Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese professional football player who has set records while playing for both Manchester United and Real Madrid as a forward for Spanish club Real Madrid and the Portugal National team.
Cristiano Ronaldo was born on 5 February 1985 in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal which is a small island off the Western coast of the county, his early life was shaped by hardship.
Cristiano Ronaldo was his father’s work as equipment manager at a boy’s club that Ronaldo was first introduced to the game of soccer. Manchester United paid £12 million to sign him in 2003, a record fee for a player of his age.
In 2003, Ronaldo signed up with Manchester United and later he made his first appearance for Portugal’s national team against Kazakhstan.
Ronaldo was honored with World Player of the Year by FIFA in 2007-08. He has scored more than 600 senior career goals for club and country.
Ronaldo is the first player in history to win four European Golden Shoes. He has also won Ballon d'Or award four times in his career.
