PM Modi visit to Naya Raipur, Facts that make first new city
PM Narendra Modi visited Naya Raipur Chhattisgarh at the inaugural ceremony of 16th state foundation day.
PM will be launching ‘Saur Sujala Yojana’ to provide solar pumps to 51,000 farmers for irrigation.
Naya Raipur will be the first new city of 21st Century which is described as ultramodern ‘green and smart city’ to provide all modern facilities to all the residents of the city.
The city has been divided into 40 sectors out of which 21 are of residential area.
To attract tourism in the country, three new lakes are developing for theme parks, gardens and playgrounds which will be linked with pedestrian corridor.
The Naya Raipur Development Authority has drafted the plan to use eco-friendly environment and promoting modern lifestyle in the city.
As the education point of view, several colleges are being developed like III, National Law University etc.
An international cricket stadium is also planned with the seating capacity of 50,000 people.
