Pakistan Navy has successfully test fired its indigenously developed Submarine Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM) Babur Missile on 29th March 2018.
The SLCM Babur Missile was test fired from an underwater dynamic platform, which successfully stroke its target with sharp accuracy.
The SLCM Babur Missile test was conducted under Pakistan's Director General Strategic Plans Division (SPD), Chairman National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM) & Commander Naval Strategic Force Command (NSFC).
As per the Pakistan Naval officials, the SLCM Babur Missile has met all its flight parameters within a stipulated time period.
The SLCM Babur Missile has a strike range of 450 Kilometres and is capable of delivering various types of payloads. It will provide Pakistan the capability to respond to provocative nuclear strategies against India.
The SLCM Babur Missile has been incorporated into state of the art technologies including underwater controlled propulsion, advanced guidance and navigation features.
Earlier, Pakistan has conducted the test of Babur-3 Missile in January 2017.
