Indian Official Secret Act 1923 Features, History, Punishment in Anti-Spying Law

 

 

India Secret Act: The official secret act, 1923 is the anti-spying law created by the British in India.

This law was created by the British to implicate our freedom fighters in the allegations of espionage. This act clearly states the actions and activities that fall under the category of crime.

The Official Secret Act applies to the whole of India and also applies to the employees of the Government of India and the citizens of India outside India. The following activities are included;

If a person maps or sketches any important building, he notes the secret information of a file which is enough to provide important information directly or indirectly to the enemy of the country.

If a person collects, records, publishes or sends any secret code or password, sketch, plan, model, article or note or other document to any person so that the country's sovereignty and integrity, security of the state, Related to the possibility of influencing friendly relations with foreign states, then against such a person, take legal action under the official secrets act.

Just as in the recent case it has been revealed that a scientist of the DRDO used to send the information of the BrahMos missile to Pakistan and America.
