Union Road Transport and Highway Minister, Nitin Gadkari has inaugurated the 29th Road Safety Week on 23rd April 2018 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
Nitin Gadkari administered Road Safety oath, He also released a book named "Have a Safe Journey" and also accorded school students.
Nitin Gadkari on the occasion informed that it’s government's priority to ensure the safety of people on road and to which common man cooperation is important.
Nitin Gadkari also proclaimed that the central government has increased the number of National Highways keeping in mind the traffic density and various other factors.
Union Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has unveiled a scheme for setting up of Driving Training Centre to provide quality training to commercial vehicle drivers, improve road and environment safety and strengthen overall mobility on roads.
