The National Institute of Transforming India has set up 11- member committee promote digital payments in the country.
The committee will suggest the measures to promote cash less economy by offering incentives like cash back, lottery, tax rebates, etc.
The committee has invited the stakeholders to give suggestions relating to legislative aspects, government payment systems or any other measures to promote Payment systems in India.
In 2015, the cabinet has passed a resolution to replace planning commission with Niti Aayog and the first meeting was held in February 2015 chaired by Mr. Narendra Modi.
It is a government policy of India of Think-Tank where reputed policy makers, experts and administers are invited to share their knowledge.
