According to the report by New World Wealth, India's economic capital Mumbai is the 12th richest city in the world.
As per the report by New World Wealth, Mumbai reported with the total wealth of $950 billion followed by Toronto with a total wealth of $944 billion, Frankfurt with $912 billion and Paris with $860 billion.
The New World Wealth report further stated that Mumbai also features among the top 10 cities in terms of billionaire population as the city is home to 28 billionaires, individuals with $1 billion or more in net assets.
The New World Wealth report stated that Mumbai is believed to be the fastest growing city in terms of wealth growth over the next 10 years.
Total wealth states, to the private wealth held by all the individuals living in each city. It includes all their assets (property, cash, equities and business interests) less any liabilities excluding Government funds.
The New World Wealth list was topped by New York as the richest city in the world with the total wealth of $3 trillion.
The New World Wealth list ranked London the 2nd richest city in the world with the total wealth of $2.7 trillion.
The New World Wealth list ranked Tokyo the 3rd richest city in the world with the total wealth of $2.5 trillion.
