The Delhi End-TB Summit is a four-day mega event organised by Government of India on 13th March to 16th March 2018 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

The Delhi End-TB Summit organised with an aim to generating awareness of the Tuberculosis (TB) disease and making India free with it by 2025, five years ahead of the WHO’s global TB elimination target of 2030.

The Delhi End-TB Summit held is believed to set the stage for September 2018 United Nations High-Level Meeting on TB, where for the first time, TB will be discussed in UN General Assembly (UNGA) at Heads of State level.

Tuberculosis (TB) disease was declared as an emergency in the early 90s and since then many countries have tried different measures to check the disease but with limited success, so it’s a time when the world must combat this disease with a new holistic approach.

As per the WHO report in 2017, India has the highest number of TB cases globally, a number of tuberculosis-related deaths in India were about 480,000 every year and 1,400 every day, about one-third of the total number of global toll.
