National Recruitment Agency is the body formed by the Government of India for eligibility tests for recruitment on Non-Gudgted Posts in the center.
Before the announcement of the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) there are various boards and agencies conducting recruitment for these posts for the government of India.
In the budget for this financial year, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the setup of the National Recruitment Agency (NRA). Today on 19th August 2020, the Central cabinet cleared all hurdles in the formation of the Agency.
As of now only Railway board, Staff Selection Commission, and IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) will be part of the National Recruitment Agency. There are around 20 agencies actively involved in the selection process of central government employees. In the coming year these agencies will also become part of the National Recruitment Agency.
